Hamilton Sports Complex – Exploring Noblesville

Yesterday we went to another one of our favorite places in Noblesville – the Hamilton County Sports Complex. The kids and I are always on the lookout for some good courts and this one is just down the road from our apartment. We were so busy enjoying some two on two games with William that I forgot to take pictures. So we went back tonight to get some shots.

There are 4 courts available which means there’s almost always room to play. But here’s the best part – they each have adjustable rims. This is great for old people like myself who can’t jump but still want to dunk. It’s also a lot of fun for kids who are dreaming to fly like Lebron.

This is also a pretty interesting study in perspective when taking pictures with a camera. It’s amazing how different the shots look when you shoot from below or from above. I’ve tried shooting from a low perspective before when taking hoops shots. But tonight I tried something different and shot some through the glass backboards. I’ve seen the pro’s do it with their automated setups. Mine are the old “hold the camera as high as you can above your head and take a bunch of shots and see what happens” trick.
